Poetry in the Parisian Metro Trains

In the Parisian Metro, there are often poems written on the wall. The RATP (the transport company) chooses them and have them printed for travellers to enjoy. Here is one written by a teenager dedicated to his parents… His name is Thomas Lefèvre. He was 16 at the time. Well done!

Mes nuits sont vos jours.
Mes rêves vos cauchemars.
Mes envies vos soucis.
Ma musique pour vous que du bruit.
Je suis ado.
J’ai les parents à dos.

(My nights are your days.
My dreams are you nightmares.
My wishes are your worries.
My music is mere noise to you.
I am a teen.
My parents can’t stand me.)
